PAUL HOLLIDAY
Life Story
1938-2018

Paul Holliday, Son of Austin Maclean Holliday and Helen Szatmari.  Born in Brooklyn New York on January 30th, 1938.  Paul went to Our Lady of Mt Carmel Catholic Elementary school in Brooklyn.  Served in the United States Army as a specialist Third Class from 1955 to 1958.   After being honorably discharged from the Army, he then took a job with the Grumman Corporation and moved out to San Diego California in 1971.   Paul earned a Master’s Degree in Computer Science and left his job at Grumman. He then began a career with Computer Sciences Corporation in San Diego and continued with them until he retired in in 2003. One of his greatest enjoyments in life were his trips to Disneyland and Knotts Berry farm, in which he would take his daughters and as many of his nieces and nephews every year.  He also enjoyed physical activities including Racquetball and Walking.  He authored a Book Called A Handbook of Software Development and Operating Procedures for Microcomputers published by Macmillan Publishing.  A builder at heart, he retired in 2003 to his home in Chula Vista where he enjoyed a variety of different building projects.  In 2010 he co-founded with his Daughter Barbara Holliday and her partner Dave Reintz’s Dream project – a Comedy Club called Flappers in Burbank California.  The club would not have been possible without Paul’s generous investment and sense of humor.  He loved Star Trek, Dogs, Walking, walking dogs, formulas, online shopping, building things, and all things math, science, and screwdriver.  Survived by his daughters Janine and Barbara Holliday, as well as a Stepdaughter Victoria, and his wife Tania Holliday.   He passed peacefully in his home watching Star Trek, with his daughter Barbara and Wife Tania by his side.
