Bom-Wrapper

The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Irene Castro can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

My Mom

My mom was born in San Bernardino, CA, before moving to San Diego, CA, where she lived for approximately 70 years, in the same house.  Although she was living in AZ at the time of her passing, her home and her heart was always in San Diego. She and my father, Arthur -- who passed away some years back -- raised four children; Richard, Marlene, myself, and Michael.  Marlene and Michael have also passed away previously.  She is survived by Richard and myself, nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.  Her oldest grandchild, Richard Earl, has also passed away.

What I have heard most about my mom this past month, and what she will be remembered for, is how much fun she was to be around and what a great cook she was.

My mom now joins my dad, her mom, brother, one daughter, one son and one grandson, as well as numerous relatives in eternity.  As a cousin wrote to me, can you imagine the partying going on in heaven?!

I miss you Mom, as I have missed you for the last two years. Rest in Peace until we meet again.
