Obituary

Jayne Marie Burdick (Walsh), 63 born July 2, 1956 in Frankfurt Germany, passed away on November 11, 2019 at Balboa Hospital at 11:05 a.m., after a 4-year fight against type 2 small cell lung cancer. She is survived by her children; Kristina, Brandi and Nicholas; two daughters-in-law; five granddaughters, five grandsons and two great-grandsons; by her mother Joan Ruth Walsh; and her siblings John, Jeffery, Jay and Janice and their children.
Jayne was a spirited woman who believed in God and all his glory. She fought hard not only against the cancer that had taken her life but fought to have full life with her husband and children. She strived to teach us right from wrong, to teach us how to manage our finances and in the end brought us all together again. She worked hard and strived to do more with her life. She started out tossing papers at people’s homes with the Star News and then worked as a manager with the LA Times. In 1989 she received her Associates Degree when she graduated from Waterman College. In 1988 Jayne started as a temp with Solar Turbines where she built a carrier that lasted nineteen years before opening her own business with her husband selling Die Cast Model Cars and accessories with Die Cast Heaven until they closed their doors in 2018. Jayne loved to spend her spare time reading and collecting some of the best novels ever written and spending quite nights knitting afghans and other accessories for her loved ones.
Jayne will be missed dearly by her family and friends as she passes the gates of heaven and is reunited with her husband Eugene Joseph Burdick, her son Bart Shannon Guinn, her father John Francis Walsh Senior, and her sister-in-law Milagros Walsh, and the rest of her 4,000 relatives she has always dreamed of meeting.
Please join us to celebrate the life of a beautiful woman on Saturday December 14, 2019 at 1:00 p.m., at Community Mortuary, 855 Broadway, Chula Vista, CA 91911.

My sister and I may have been fifteen years apart and 2000 miles away from each other but she and I always had fun laughing through life she was always there for me but I will always have the memory of her and me falling over laughing every time we talked we told the story of my mama flying to the front of the box truck they had and getting stuck and we laughed so hard we couldn’t help her up ! I love my sister and will miss all the laughs and love and being there for each other through all our heart aches and pains in life !!
